TEDDYS CAMARO 01-04-2007, 02:04:51 PM I am using a 2" cowl hood. It clears! DirtyScotty 01-04-2007, 03:18:55 PM Beauty. What are you running for injection? How big is that charger? ErikNORCAL 01-04-2007, 09:49:46 PM sweet baby jeeeeezus WOW  US MARINE 01-04-2007, 09:53:02 PM Ted, dam that looks outstanding, I wouldn't want to get it dirty  SF Rick TEDDYS CAMARO 01-05-2007, 09:50:32 AM The magnacharger is a 112 model, with 42lb fuel injectors. I might get bigger injectors, but i won't know until it comes back from wheel 2 wheel. They are going to tune and dyno the camaro. BADBLACKZ 01-05-2007, 11:17:53 AM Those two pics. dont do TEDDYS car any justice, it is one sweet machine ! Increadable detail, top notch parts and workmanship. This car will end up being one of the finest 2nd gens ANYWHERE, look for it next year in all the mags !!! P.S. TEDDY, hows the nub healing up ???? TEDDYS CAMARO 01-05-2007, 12:55:06 PM Thanks. The nub is doing good. The stiches are out. I can't wait to heal up. Probably a few more weeks. I will try to get more pics. of the camaro soon. craggar 01-05-2007, 02:21:58 PM Those two pics. dont do TEDDYS car any justice, it is one sweet machine ! Increadable detail, top notch parts and workmanship. This car will end up being one of the finest 2nd gens ANYWHERE, look for it next year in all the mags !!! P.S. TEDDY, hows the nub healing up ???? Your probably right but from those 2 pictures I can imagine what the rest must look like. Very Nice! BADBLACKZ 01-05-2007, 09:10:12 PM I cant wait to see this car done. TEDDY showed me pics. of the last 70 he built and it was way nice, this one will be even better. BonzoHansen 01-05-2007, 11:17:41 PM You know, I've seen setups before like that. Here is my question. Could you get a TB to point straight back and then run the inlet tube into the cowl. Cowl induction with a flat hood! Do I even want to know about 'the nub'? :) TEDDYS CAMARO 01-06-2007, 03:23:54 AM Yeah, you can, but I don't think it would clear the firewall. Anyway, my nub means.....well,I have a prostetic leg, and it slid off my nub, and I ended up with 10 stiches on the bottom of my nub. It is very hard to do any kind of work on your car with one leg. But, everything is healing up nice, so it should'nt be to long before I am walking again. Thank god for my friends. They try to help me as much as possible. Roadking 01-06-2007, 04:22:12 AM Extremely nice! Dragula 01-06-2007, 05:15:04 AM Yo Teddy you really gonna drive that or just use it for a dinner plate? JL8Jeff 01-06-2007, 11:11:10 AM Awesome! What engine is that under the Magnacharger? And next time, warn us that sunglasses are needed when viewing your car! Rick WI 01-06-2007, 11:45:25 AM That is VERY nice and a super cool package. 1WILDZ 01-06-2007, 12:11:34 PM You are my Hero! TEDDYS CAMARO 01-06-2007, 02:39:23 PM I will drive the car as much as possible. No trailer queen here. BonzoHansen 01-06-2007, 09:16:29 PM Yeah, you can, but I don't think it would clear the firewall. I just want to run something through the cowl, like the 67Z28s! daniel76309 01-06-2007, 10:17:41 PM Your engine compartment looks awesome and that is a kick-ass set-up. I love the idea of a roots type blower, port f.i., and you can still close the hood--the best of all worlds! I saw a magnacharger being used on a 1969 Camaro on a TV show (Wrecks to riches I think) several months ago. They had to do some custom machining to get the blower to bolt to the first gen small block, as the supercharger was meant for the "vortecs" I think. I contacted the magnacharger people for information, and at that time, they didn't have anything ready to go for the early small blocks, but were working on it. Did you get yours as a "bolt-on" kit from them, i.e. have they finished their R & D, or did you modify the late model kit to fit your engine? Dan TEDDYS CAMARO 01-07-2007, 01:30:11 AM The magnacharger I have is a bolt-on, but it is a prototype. The engine I am using is a 383. The heads I used are edelbrock aluminum vortec heads. I know that 69 camaro on that tv show has the same magnacharger, also I saw one in a magazine on a nova. BLOWN_70_CAMARO 01-07-2007, 06:46:14 AM Very nice Looks like a lot o cleaning too much for me. I went with the ceramic coating everything less scrubbing I don't do cleaning well. Can't wait to see that car in a Mag soon. daniel76309 01-07-2007, 11:56:11 AM The magnacharger I have is a bolt-on, but it is a prototype. The engine I am using is a 383. I went back and checked my email from the company from awhile back--they said they had the superchargers but were still working out the engine managment system. I think in your earlier post you said you were having someone tune and dyno it. I'd be interested in what you come up with as far as the engine management, how involved or difficult is it, pros and cons, etc. That looks like a state of the art system. Somewhere down the road I am going to need "more power", and that might just be the solution. Thanks, Dan 3_z28camaro 01-07-2007, 09:09:45 PM WOW. protour73 01-08-2007, 09:48:27 AM I finally got some pics. of my engine compartment. Lets see the whole car!! :D TEDDYS CAMARO 02-08-2007, 09:22:10 AM I am using a big stuff 3 computer set up. I will have more pics. soon. The camaro is ready to get running and dynoed, but the snow is keeping me from moving the car. So, I am working on interior stuff to let the time pass. Hopefully I will be done by the powertour. BLUE72CAMARO 02-12-2007, 03:02:31 PM Sweet looking setup Teddy. I also know where I am putting my ignition box and coil at now. Are you worried about the ignition system getting wet being inside the cowl like that? TEDDYS CAMARO 02-13-2007, 07:51:09 PM My coil is in the wiper cowl, literally. and the coil is sealed. I don't see any problems. BLUE72CAMARO 02-14-2007, 09:49:03 AM Where is the ignition box? I am guessing inside the car? BADBLACKZ 02-14-2007, 12:14:07 PM Where is the ignition box? I am guessing inside the car? Under the wiper cowl........ TEDDYS CAMARO 02-14-2007, 05:03:44 PM Correct! |
