I've got a slight hesitation with my new Holley 670 Street Eliminator. The 355 is all new w/ about 400 miles on it. When I accelerate from a dead stop, it hesitates for a spit second. It's not that big of a deal, but would it help if I went to a smaller accellerator pump????
The timing is set dead on and everthing else seems to be fine (idle, choke, etc.)

you may need to fine tune the
1. discharge nozzle 28,31,35,.....
2. Secondary spring (lighter,stiffer)
3. check for excessive clearance in the
accelerator pump linkage at Idle.
4. Accelerator pump cam
Id check # 3 first

I think I'd first check to verify there is no clearance on the accel pump arm. At closed throttle the arm of the accel pump should be adjusted to push on the pump as soon as the throttle linkage moves. Hesitation is usually caused by a lean condition off idle.
When moving the linkage look both at the accel pump then the squirter in the bore of the primaries. You should see a good shot as soon as movement occurs.

Also, verify float level. Fuel level should be right at the bottom of the sight plug so that when you rock the car side to side it just dribbles out.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check those things out (as soon as it warms up here in GA).
