I know the gas tank size changed from 19g to 21g in 74 right? but will I still beable to fit it in my 71? The guys including the sending unit and straps.....

Also..sorry if this is the wrong section but I didn't know where exactly to ask this.

The right side of the trunk had a raised portion for the raised side of the later fuel tanks. The earlier ones had flat floors/tank tops.

Even the tanks of other years are different. I had a few tanks, and the 74-77 ones differ from the 78-81. You wouldn't know, until you set them side by side. The filler angle is slightly different in angle and length.
