My 73 Z-28 has a big block in it. I have had nothing but problems with the power steering bracket. I'm not sure if it is bent. Does anyone know which pump and bracket should work? A picture would be great.

Excuse the picture- too far away I know. These are the two BBC long waterpump setup PS brackets. If you believe you have a bent bracket- check the corners in the lower bracket- they are all 90 degree bends. The upper rail for tightening the pulley has an outward bend to it- but I found that mine required a large washer behind it to sit properly against the PS housing/mounting.

Does it matter which style power steering unit you use ? I have the kidney shaped one I think they call it saginaw?
