View Full Version : Can someone provide me a pic of the BBC PS badazz81z28 01-12-2005, 02:11:00 PM this is hard to follow. Anyone have a picture of their BBC Power steering? Thanks!!! http://www.nastyz28.com/tech/e-pspump.jpg 73454 01-12-2005, 02:50:00 PM http://community.webshots.com/album/125342799dSyLDq There's a couple good pictures there. Basically there's a bracket that bolts to the side of the block, and one big bolt on the water pump. It is hard to use the "small block" style you have pictured there. It is far easier to get the style I have (small housing) which you will find on trucks and early passenger cars. badazz81z28 01-12-2005, 03:00:00 PM will the small block pump not work? I have the brackets you have on yours but your pump looks different rscamaro73 01-12-2005, 04:10:00 PM I have the sbc pump & stuff on my BBC brackets. Just needed the spacer and to pull the pulley off (properly) and its all good. badazz81z28 01-12-2005, 05:49:00 PM <font face="Arial,Verdana" size="2">Originally posted by rscamaro73: I have the sbc pump & stuff on my BBC brackets. If you get the older style pump (like I have) it will fit like a charm. I don't remember exactly why it didn't fit but I think it was the reservior itself. They are a different shape. If you get the one like I have it is a bolt in and go with no modification at all. 73454 01-12-2005, 06:22:00 PM Actually, let me rephrase that "no modification" part. I did have to take the return input tube, remove it, replace so it pointed downward rather than to the side. It's pretty easy to do, and if you solder it with sweat solder it won't ever leak because it does not see any pressure. If you look at this picture: http://community.webshots.com/photo/125342799/75650465nKdeUE You can see the tube is pointing out the side. It's not like that anymore. I used one off a small block pump reservior to replace it with. badazz81z28 01-12-2005, 06:51:00 PM <font face="Arial,Verdana" size="2">Originally posted by rscamaro73: I have the sbc pump & stuff on my BBC brackets. Takes a little modification, but works perfectly. 73454 If I send you the pics can you post them on here for me? ------------------ Confucius says " he who uses small, crimped exhaust, gets short of breath" [This message has been edited by Bruce Sherman (edited January 12, 2005).] badazz81z28 01-12-2005, 09:45:00 PM <font face="Arial,Verdana" size="2">Originally posted by Bruce Sherman: I have the small block pump and brackets on my BB, I'll see if I can post some pics.
