Keeping the heads under the stock hood isn't a problem, what kind of budget and goals are you working with?

If you want to keep it as stock looking as possible, I'd look at some Dart Iron Eagles, either 180 or 200 cc runners. They can be had for a decent price and with a little bowl cleanup, they'll be strong runners. You can paint 'em the same color as the block and your existing intake will work fine. I assume the ones on the 'vette now are 72 or 76cc chambers, you might look at going to 64 for a compression bump to 9.5:1 or so. A cam really helps wake those engines up as well. I have an '81 that was factory rated at 190hp with 280tq, 8.2:1 compression, what a candyass engine for a Corvette, huh? I'm pulling and saving the original numbers matching engine and tranny in favor of a 3.75 stroke, 4.600 bore 499 CI solid roller tire shredder.
