Does anyone know where I can get the bolt/stud that goes on the themostat housing to mount the end of the alt mount?

Maybee In the coffee can in my shop with about a zillion other nuts and bolts.

I would try these places for starters only b/c I don't think that you will find one at the "HELP" display or at a parts place in general. You will find one in a junkyard tho!!

You could make your own with threaded rod and a couple of nuts & washers.

I almost always make my studs out of allthread. You can get it at the hardware store pretty cheap. I think you need 3/8"-16 for what you were asking. Just make sure and chamfer the ends so they thread easily. Use a grinder or a file and make about a 45o taper.
