looking for my build sheet in my 73 camaro...i looked behind the rear seat already with no luck... any other places to try...my 78 corvette was on top the gas tank...thanks for any info,,,bob

Try behind the door panels,under the front seats between the foam & seat spring,top of the gas tank,behind rear interior quarter trim piece, behind the bucket seat covers on the backs,under the dash behind the glove box? These are all places they have been found before!

I found mine behind the back seat beetween the foam and spring.

very few biuld sheets found on 73s for some reason . if you look on the z 28 regestry on the original drive section of this web site youll see that only 2 have build sheets and i belive that is questonable. maybe the inspectors were instructed to remove them after checking them

It all boils down to the fact that Norwood built all the Camaros from 72-76, and Norwood ran a tight ship. They threw the trash in the trashcan where it was supposed to be, and build sheets were trash once the car was assembled.
LA did us all a favor by leaving them in the cars. LA cars almost all have at least one copy of the build sheet. Many have 2 or 3 or 4 or even more. Maybe they were trying to clean up California by sending the trash out with the cars. :p

Ive had a 76, 79 and an 80 and never have found a build sheet. I thought for sure that the 79z I now have. No luck so far. Ive checked all the usual spots. I think I read somewhere on here that it also might be found ontop of the gas tank. I havent looked there yet.

Some of the LA guys must have been helping the Norwood line the day mine was built, I found one build sheet under the rear passenger side seat.

Some of the early 70's Norwood cars did have build sheets left in them, but it was very few. It seems to me that for some reason that they started leaving more of them in the cars in the late 70's.

Have a Norwood car, and looked in ALL of those places, the last one, was when I removed the gas tank.... NOTHING. I was slightly ticked off, but I knew of the rarity of a '73 having one. So nothing.:mad:

My 77 Z had a build sheet on top of the gas tank.
