View Full Version : Ls1/spun rod bearing $500 marolover 12-25-2004, 04:06:00 PM I have a friend selling a ls1 with a spun rod bearing fro $500. It's everything minus the intake. The crank is turnable. I'm thinking about buying and fixing it and putting it in the camaro. Either get a custome harness or buy the carb setup for it. What do you guys think. Good price or not? But for $500 that is a hell of an engine with tons of potential! marolover 12-27-2004, 02:29:00 PM Do you guys know what it would take to hook up the ls1 to my th350. As far as what I would need to buy and modify. And how much I would spend? hals73rs 12-27-2004, 11:22:00 PM Ya would need a flexplate from a 97-98 LS1 to bolt up the turbo convertor. TCI also makes a flexplate that'll work. The convertor might need shimming, but everything should bolt up. And since it's an LS1, go ahead and spring for a little extra money, get a computer for it outta a wrecked 98-02 Camaro and set it up for a throttle body and crank-fired ignition.
