I put expensive mobile one sythetic in it around July and maybe drove it 10 miles. It's been sitting all winter so far but soon must come out the garage for body shop estimates. I hate to drain out sythetic oil already.

How does it look on the stick? As long as your car is otherwise mechanically sound, I don't think I'd worry too much even if it was dino oil. I have a lot of customers with cars that get serviced once a year because their cars sit a majority of the time. Todays motor oils are far more advanced than they used to be and withstand sitting in a crankcase for longer periods. As long as your oil cap and dipstick seal good, I say it's perfectly fine.

I agree. As long as things are dry enough where you live / store the car to not have condensation under the valve covers,,, I wouldn't worry about it. Every time you start the car, make sure you bring it up to temp. That will help put a good coat of oil on everything and cook off moisture in the crankcase. The oil doesn't 'go bad' just sitting in the crankcase, it's the accumilation of moisture and contaminates that raises havoc with the car that sits a lot.

Since it hasn't been driven, I'd drive it without a change and put some miles on it. When I don't drive my Camaro much, it gets one oil change a year in the Spring. That way it has clean oil when I start driving it for the Summer. I don't drive it much anymore, so I don't change it in between.

It looks brownish on the stick, not black, but not new looking either. I'll let it go until the spring. Thanks guys!

Should be ok unless you have a very bad condensation problem. Just drive it to good and hot the first time you take it out to boil off any moisture. Take it for a nice drive. Even if you want to change it you need to get the old oil hot to boil it off and get the contaminates all swirled up so they come out with the oil.
