Hey Guys. Have A 72 396. I Noticed That The Crank Pulley Does Not Spin True. I Checked The Bolts On The Pulley And They Are Tight. Could It Be A Bad Damper Or A Crank Out Of Balance? Also Is There Supposed To Be A Thin Spacer Between The Pulley And The Damper? 1 More Item. When I Am Driving At Highway Speeds I Feel What I Think Is Some Sort Of Rotational Vibration In The Floor Board. If It Is A Damper Any Suggestions On A New One Would Be Appreciated. Thanks

Since something is kinda messed up there, first thing I would suspect is the pulley itself. Try taking it off and laying it on different sides on a flat surface. If it wiggles around or has any raised spots or low spots, its most likely the part at fault.

try LT's sugguestion on changing out the pulley and see if that fixes the wobble. if not,, beg, borrow, or try another damper.

if neither one of those fix's it,, i'd bet it was a bent crank that's ground at least .020 or more on the mains without straightening it first. the wobble might now be ground in,, so to speak. i've seen some like that,,, but most likely one of the other problems mentioned before.
