Did the 70 Z/28 originally come with a 3 or 4 core radiator. My car is overheating with a new replacement 3 core radiator that I purchased from GM.

you might want to check the usual suspects , water pump, t-stat. It may not be the "correct" core radiator but unless you live in Nevada I wouldnt think that it would cause it to overheat.

I agree. a 3 core should be sufficient. Im running a stock 3 core with a BBC and dont have any problems. It was about 107 deg yesterday

70 Z28 came with a 2 core rad. I'm running a 4 core in my 70 Z28 with a 185* stat but a 3 core will do. Use a bug screen against the rad too. Make sure your shroud is on and the clutch fan isn't shot. Run at least 50/50 water/antifreeze mix. Flush rad/block and change antifreeze every 5 yrs for a summer only driver.
