All,

I happened upon an '05 GTO parked next to me today, and noticed it had a 6-speed. What struck me was the shifter and boot- sharp! I'd bet that it would look real nice in the cockpit of a 2nd gen. The knob has the shift pattern on top.
Here's a not-so-close pic.

I already have an SS Hurst leather knob, or I'd be looking on ebay for one.

2nd EDIT- from pontiac.com. Crappy pic.

It's working now.

That GTO interior is pretty sweet man. Nicest GM put out in awhile IMO.
Go for it, should be able to find quite a few parts out there. :)

Hell , we almost had to total out my cousins '06 already.

I have the Hurst leather one too, even though I'll be running a Pro5.0 shifter. Does that make me a dumbass? haha

My brother bought an '06 a few months ago. He let my Dad drive it, and the next day my Dad had one in his drive way. They both belong to a few LS1-2/GTO sites and it seems like there are a lot of them being totaled.

I guess that's what happens when you have 400hp in an affordable car.

I agree, the interior in those cars are very nice. I was very surprised by what you get for 31k. You can already find a few low mile used 05's in the low 20's.

I priced out just the shift knob months back for my T56 and GM wanted almost $140 just for that!! Ouch!

I must be gettin old, when I see a boot like that up around the shifter,I think its a Fiat or an MG etc. Those pedals look like something from Cal Custom.
