what 5 speed automatics does chevy make?

can you put them in an '80?

im just looking at my options right now. i'll probably go with somthin like a 700r4 or a 5 speed maunal conversion.

Most 5 speed trannys of the 80s will not take abuse very long, the world class T5s are the stronger of the bunch...but still not tough. TKO makes a 5 speed that will take about all you can throw at it.
