Got a carb'd lt1/T56 78 z28 I'm putting together and need some way of mounting an alternator and power steering to the lt1, Im running the stock type water pump off the timing chain. Think I may have room to put a wider crank pully on to clear the pump but dunno. Those kits are big$$ so I'm going to make my own brackets or whatever. SPECS the motor has stock crank and pistons with good rod bolts, the heads flow 273 cfm @600 and are shaved 30thou. has about 11.2:1. crane 501lift cam, GM intake with a bg 750. Thanks for any info! What accessory set did the LT1 come with, F-body, Vette etc? Do you prefer to run the LT1 or the stock Camaro ALT & PSP?
Also what year is the Camaro?

The only things I have are the 93 LT1 alt and PS pump and the 78 alt and ps pump to work with. No brackets at all. Has the Fbody Harmonic. I'd rather use the 78 alt and ps pump if its not a big prob.

With the special harmonic balancer, I'd think getting an old style pulley would be hard to do.

just find an f-body with an LT1 and pull the brackets or a later caprice(some have the 4.3L V-8 which is the baby brother to the LT1) brackets should be the same.
or just buy the proper brackets on ebay.. it will make everything alot easier.
