I am losing allot of coolant outside the car below heater hose connections to the core and a slow leak on the passenger floor board. My question is hopefully the lower hose is leaking and running down the core into the interior. It seems if the heater core itself had a leak all the coolant would leak inside only.

Lower the passenger fender well and look at the connection. It's the only way to get to it if your car has AC.
Everyone hopes it is the hose connection but they are usually presented with a heater core replacement
PITA. :(
Good Luck!

Hate to be the barer of bad news :whine: but I had the the same leaks six years ago. It was the core. If its a non-a/c car like mine, all the better. I find that removing the inner right fender is a must for the best access. That could be mandatory if you have a/c. If it was never changed, there's one corner of the interior side of the heater box that has a fastener that will need drilled out. The rest can be reached from under the hood.

Yeah i won't have time for a few days to pull the inner fender well and look so i just wanted some opinions to ease my mind. How is all the water leaking outside the car and only a slow drip inside? It's a A/C car.

I replaced the heater core hoses both lines with the same size pipe and had a pretty sizeable leak on the outside. They look the same size but aren't.. silly me. If yours are original, then you can try the hoses but I'd bet the core.

My hoses are old but the correct size. I guess my question is how is the water leaking on the ground out of the fenderwell if the heater core is inside of the car.It drips in the pass floor but pours from the bottom of car underneath a/c box.

It does sound like the major leak is coming form where the hoses meet the send and return pipes to the core.
The core is mounted inside the car, but has lengths of pipe protruding through the firewall. One comes out below the a/c suitcase, the other comes through the suitcase.
The rubber pipe may have rotted, the pipe clamps may have rusted and given up, or the thin copper pipes they connect to on the core could have corroded. The residual leak inside the car may be where coolant is running along the length of the pipe and soaking the neoprene seals at the firewall.
You are going to need to drop the inner wheelwell to get clear access and see whats going on.
If theres any sign off corrosion on the copper pipes, consider getting a new core. Or bypassing the heater altogether so you feel the cool wind blowing through your hair inside the car!

Mine leaked outside and inside too. It was sadly the heater core. Sucks bigtime.

Well i should buy a lottery ticket tonight! Pulled wheel well loose and found hose clamp on bottom hose was at the end of the hose. Put my hand on it and it turned. It was not even tight. The leak only occured when engine was revved and i put a high volume water pump on awhile back.Previous owner left clamp loose and i guess the old stock pump didn't have enough pressure to make it leak.
