I'm having a weird electrical problem, any suggestions?

Car is a canadian '81 Z (no emissions computer)
What happened was I was test driving the car after swapping jets, and everything was going nicely. Then I noticed the oil press. dummy light was on, so i pulled back into the driveway and shut 'er down, hoping the sending wire was just bumped loose. It' still connected, so I sigh and go to pull back into the garage. Turn the key to run and nothing. the tach doesn't reset, don't hear the familiar whine of the fuel pump (aftermarket electric) no dummy lights. Crank it and it starts, dummy lights are on, tach works Can't hear if the pump is on. Then it stalls, now it won't start at all. Still cranks strong. I have 12v at the alternator, interior lights work, headlights work, blower motor works in run but not acc (?). Any suggestions? I'm not particularly strong in electrical systems and I can't think of what could be wrong.

p.s. sorry for the essay

I havent done much yet work yet on classic's but on some newer cars there is an accy fuse. I dont know if old cars have that seperate circuit but does anything else work in accy position?

Neither wipers nor blower work on acc. I don't have a radio. Can't think of any other accesories to test. Tomorrow I guess I'll go to town on the fusebox with a multimeter.

Just read your problem, I have a 1981 Berlinetta and the oil pressure light came on after I changed the electrical choke actuator on the carbureter. It looks like you have blown a fuse now. Not a big deal. Once you find the blown fuse and you get it running again, unplug the electrical choke from the carbureter, passenger side, middle of carbureter, and see if the oil pressure light goes out. If it does you will have to play with the choke actuator, Sorry I haven't figured mine out yet but when I put my old actuater (coil) back on, the light goes out, but I don't think the actuater is working.
