I have installed a full set of soft seal weatherstrip on my car. Outer window felts did not match origianl exactly - my origianls had a rolled outer chrome edge and the softseal was flat, but they look OK. The inner window felts fit great (I used a rivet gun to attach to door panel).
Adjusting the windows was a real bitch! Part of the problem is the new weatherstripping is puffed out. I have power windows, it may be easier if you have manual windows, 'cause mine would run out of steam about 1/2 inch from the top... I found it easier after I rolled up the window then closed the door and left it a few days to put a crease in the new stripping - good luck.
ps. I have no air leaks when windows are up....gotta like it

NOT SO SOFTSEAL SUCKS!!!!!!!!! They have gotten better over the years but still not good enough. You want the Skinned NOS Weather Strips.
Take the time and spend the money for NOS, unless you like Power slamming your doors to get them to close, which by the way is not so good for your door glass and regulators. or making like a linebacker and treating your door as if it were a tackling dummy. if you want let me know which weather-strips you need and I will send you the Phone number of a GM dealer that has them in stock. I had a guy bring his Camaro over to me to ask why his trunk was sticking up above the quarters. I opened the trunk and long and behold, Not So Soft Seal weather-strip, he replaced it with NOS, and it was a perfect fit.
NOS.. Twice the price… Half the problems,
Sorry for the long Rant, But I think you get the point
