I just installed an 77 column in my 80 Z. Had to as the 80 was all busted up. Now I get nothing, but the power windows and headlts operate. What's up? Thanks Blue

Is it an automatic tranny?
Is the Neutral Safety switch properly positioned?

Try turning the key while holding the brake and moving the shifter. If you get juice to the starter while doing this, it is a misaligned Neutral Safety switch.

(Don't start the car in gear this way. Just test to see if the starter tries to jump to life when the shifter hits the correct position through it's travel.)
