I've installed my headliner in my 72 and have found the little hangers that go above the windsails someplace. Would someone please measure how far back from the upper back door corner I should be looking for screw holes? Thank you.
And to anyone else out there doing headliners or going to be, I think if you put the screws in their holes before installing the headliner it would be easier to find them and slit the spot for reinstalling items. IE; screw hole for visors, dome light, cloth hooks.

Guess I'm not the only one to do that http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif If you get no replies, I can check my '73 over the weekend.

Thanks. Looking at it last night it looks like they go just up from the door back corner. If you get a chance to look I'd appreciate it.

I almost did that when I put the headliner in the 69. I put the center bow in and then stopped and said holy crap, I better put in the mirror mount screws, dome light screws, coat hooks, shoulder belt bolts and the shoulder belt hook screws. It sure did make life easier. I hope you get the right measurements and don't screw up the new headliner. Good Luck

I did not know if you have the inner trim pieces installed yet or just the headliner so I measured from the actual roof metal which you can see up in the corner even if the trim is installed (mine is installed but I could still measure from that spot) The hole should be approximately 1/2 inch to the FRONT of the corner and 2 inches up. That's where it is on my '73 anyway, hope that helps.
