I need a diagram that tells me which wire is + and which is - for the different systems. Not some stupid @$$ed numbers that don't have any key for describing what they do.
Someone on here had a picture that was labled with what wire was + or - for lights, tach, volt, warning lights, etc.

THat or give me a key for the numbers that are on the stupid diagram. :mad:

From some books that I have.
I think that that came from the Mitchells book.

I have them for ALL our years, just haven't had the time to put them all up on the site.

Wiring diagrams are only useless when you don't understand them. Better explain what it is you are trying to do and you might get a better answer, is this a conversion from idiot lights to gauges, repairing something that doesn't work ect... Is this for the 71 or the 79.

Thats a nice diagram. I have the factory books for that year and they arent that easy to decipher.I will have to keep an eye out for that book. ;)

I am doing a gauge conversion on the 79 Z28. Going from the stock gauge cluster to a custom Autometer setup.

I just went and made my own wiring diagram. Probably not useful for anyone else, but I can read it, and I guess that's what counts.
I'm pretty good with wiring, but that's if I can keep wiring diagrams out of it. I usually end up making my own, as I did in this case as well. I just can't make any sense of most of them with their numbers and no description. THat one spoon posted was nice! But I have a 79. Don't feel bad about it though, because I already had it done before you posted the diagram.

thanks but i tried that and i cant seem to find the details, it just says like one is this color. i need the information on it like one is pink and controls the lights and 2 is brown and does the temp
