View Full Version : 72 door panels?
cartboy67 10-08-2003, 12:01:00 AM does anyone have any pics of what the original door panels look like for a 72? I have seen and heard several different answers on this, but nothing for sure. I did not have any installed when I got the car, not sure what I am looking for.
Jens_RS/SS 10-08-2003, 12:14:00 AM I have a few pictures of the interior of my 72 if you click on my photo page. There is one of the door. The interior of my car is completely original. If you need a better photo, I can post one up tomorrow.

Ricks 72Z28 10-08-2003, 08:48:00 AM You need to fiqure out whether you have standard or deluxe interior/Deluxe is not being reproduced and is very hard to find and is expensive. If you still have your window regulators-measure them if they are 1 inch's long you have standard interior.

Thanks for the replies, Jen, for some reason, I can't open your links for the pics. Rick, I really don't know what interior the car originally had, it had been reworked prior to me getting the car. My best guess would be standard, as it was an original 307 coupe with forest(?) green interior as evidenced by the peeling painton some of the panels. The regulator, is that refering to the shaft for the window cranck handle that is at a right angle to the door?
Thanks, Steve
Ricks 72Z28 10-08-2003, 04:08:00 PM That's correct the window crank-measure the shaft,Rick.
moementum 10-08-2003, 04:23:00 PM Or just look on the cowl tag. It will say what style and color interior was originally installed. It's a 3 digit number on the LH side of the second line.
Jens_RS/SS 10-08-2003, 04:57:00 PM I have e-mailed you a pic.

cartboy67 10-08-2003, 08:23:00 PM Jen, thanks for the pics, nice ride. I did find out that the car had original 307/TH350 sequoia green with standard green interior. I have the protect-o-plate with the original owner name/address, and the dealer stamp on the cover, but no build sheet has been found. I did measure the post on the window regulator, 1". Thanks for all of the help, this will help get things together for my interior.
73z-6sp 10-10-2003, 04:29:00 AM I have a set of lower door panels and a set of the repro door panels from classic. I dont have the upper plastic part though. My panels are in very nice condition. The center sections are new, never installed. Still flexible, no rot or decay. No cracks either. I may sell them If you are interested let me know. Make me an offer. If you need pics, I can e-mail you some.

Would love to have a look at them, but getting storage shed built, and rapping things up here in the states. Uncle Sam is sending me to Japan for the next 3 years, so my car will be stored at my dad's house til then. Thanks for the response though.

They are original black. They have never been painted/dyed. I can send some pics if you want.
