They are screwed to the bulkheads. Ok, that's a marine term, but it works well here.
Also, you will need to pull the A-pillar trim from the inside since the kick panels have a molded extension that travels up under the A-pillar trim.
You will also have to pull or loosen the sill plate, which also covers the kick panel a little.

When you get ready to pull them, you will find that they may have been sealed to the car's body in the oval cavity area, and they may stick a litte. Or a lot. Depends on whether the car was ever Ziebarted or not (or something similar).

You will also have to pull and tug them away from the car body, as they do not just slide to the rear only. Take a good look at the backside of your new panels, and you'll see why when you look at the architecture of the molding.

Word to the wise from experience:
The extension which travels up the door opening to the A-pillar area is fragile and on an older car may easily break. Be sure and take your time pulling these.

are they different from 74? if not, reach up under the dash and unhook the vent cables from the vents. also you have to remove the parking brake assembly bolt that goes thru the driver side panel. Aero80 said the rest.

If you have a/c, the passenger side is a lot harder, I believe that the heater box or something is in the way (been awhile since I took mine out).

You've got to remove the A/C box under the dash.

You will have to remove the emergency brake assembly, It should be 3, 1/2 nuts, it is alot easier without the seats in!!

Yeah, and the inner fenders off! http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

2 of the nuts that secure the parking brake bracket to the firewall and down under the brake booster, right next to the fuse block.

Have you taken your dash out yet? http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif
