Today I took out my rear seat. I'm redoing my interior, changing the color, and decided that I no longer want and/or need my backseat. I need opinions on what I should do to cover up the area now.

How about putting some speakers back there.

Thats what I was thinking about. Does anyone have any pictures of what they have done? That's more along the lines of what I am looking for. I'm not very creative and not the best at crafting things up either :/

I'm painting the rest of the interior a smoke color, which changes in the light. So far it looks pretty good, but I still have a lot more to do. If someone can host a picture for me, then I can show everyone what atleast one of the doors looks like so far.

or you could always tub the car so you can have tires there instead of a seat http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

That would be nice. Only thing is that my car barely spins my street tires. And they are starting to go bald, so I don't think I really need anything to0 big back there until I start making some real power.

Link to nearly finished door (http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/4642d1c4/bc/Cars/DSC00577.jpg?bcz0Pe_AOOpY0bsC)

Notice the color changing on the top piece in the light.

If that link does not work then try here...Hopefully this one works. More car pix (http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/slmmr/lst?.dir=/Cars&.src=ph&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/)

20 years ago I did a rear seat delete in a '68 Camaro. Basically I removed the seat, then cut a piece of plywood to angle from the package tray down to the floor far enough to the front so that it covered anything I did not want to see. I then dimantled my favorite pair of home speakers and installed them in each side, spacing the woofers, midranges, and tweeters evenly, top to bottom, behind each seat. To finish it off, I covered the plywood with carpet. Looked pretty good. Use pieces of cardboard to get the pattern you need to fit the plywood tightly to the sides. You may need make it in two pieces to get it in the car. If so, then put a backer made of a 2x4 behind the seam you make and screw the two pieces to it. Also for strength reasons it would be better for a seam to run from top to bottom rather then side to side.
