one of my ford buddies gave me a taurus 2 speed fan for my car, but i need the wiring harnes. he said that i could find one a pepboys, but i forgot to mention the name anyone know what its called?

You should talk to Jabin (gmachinz) about what to do with the Ford fan. He can suggest a much better way of wiring it than with a conventional wiring harness.

I just run my taurus 2 speed on a higher amp on/off/on toggel switch. I used 10 ga. wire and soldered the joints.

Fan's ground wire to battery neg.
wire from battery + to center post of toggel
fan's high speed wire to top post on toggel
fan's low speed wire to bottom post on toggel

Had it that away for about 2 years with no probs.

thanks for the help guys.
i ended gtting a free adjustable thermostat (imperail), i need to find the wiring instructions to make it all work

While there are a few ways to "make it work", you really need to at least use a relay to carry the load-those Taurus fans can draw a lot power although with a toggle inside the car you can run into a lot of voltage drop which negates that somewhat-meaning a slower than normal fan speed. Running your power off a toggle is not a good idea even if it does "work". -Jabin
