Can you bolt a third gen motor up to the 2nd Gen firewall without any modifications? Looking at pics, it looks like they have the same bolt pattern, but I'd like to make sure first.

I'm wanting to change my switch and use the steering column blinker, high beams, wiper control, and cruise control type.

Is this possible? Will that switch attach to our steering column. I found that the 82 camaro has this type of switch and the turning signal switch internal to the steering column are the same ones...same part numbers... SO I'm guessing that it will fit, but I'm just not positive..

I don't have any answers for you... Sorry.

Just an observation:
Even if the switch does connect physically with our steering column... (It just might!) You will need to run several wires (A dozen or so?) through the column for the wipers, dimmer etc. because there isn't anything in our column harness for them.

If you are prepared to do that... investigate further.
