I'm trying to trace the wiring for the fuel gauge & according to the wiring diagram here (http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/wire/78w-rear.jpg), it's supposed to be a tan colored wire.
I don't have a tan wire in in my rear harness & the only wire I can't put a function to is a pink one. This is in the harness that runs through the trunk corner. Is the diagram mislabeled or is my car wired wierd or is the pink wire for something else? :confused:

on my schematic it is a pink wire (circuit 30) until it gets to a body connector where it goes to a tan wire to the sender. but i'm looking at another schematic that shows a pink going all the way, from the gauge to the sender. you might have to drop the tank so you can see what colors go to the sender. grasmo.

This does seem to be circuit #30 but I will check it properly.

Check behind the fuel door from underneath your car. I will be to the right, if your feet are under the car.

I believe the wire at that point is pink still...

i just redid my gauges and this confused me to. cause all schemetics said it was tan. mine was pink at the dash and tan at the sender. this was on a 80.
