This is the place for people who want to retrofit all sorts of high tech goodies into our beloved Second Generation Camaros.

Having done the LS1 / T56 swap myself (into the 71Z shown in my avatar) I can tell you that it really is the best of all worlds: good power right out the box (without almost unlimited potential depending on mods), good fuel economy, smooth operation, and all wrapped in the prettiest sheet metal ever to roll off an assembly line.

Would this also fall under the category of custom fabrication?

Well, if the custom fab is needed to accomplish a high tech retro fit (e.g. crossmember mods for a T56 tranny) then it would seem to be appropriate to post that in here.....but nobody will haul you off to shoot you at dawn (except for Eric, maybe) if you posted something like that in the transmissions area either.

Very good idea guys since this is becoming much more popular. Should fill up with a ton of good info.

I don't think it needs to be strictly drivetrain stuff.....a broader mandate may include things like Global Positioning Satellite speedometers, fancy stereo stuff, satellite radio, etc. Let's see what happens.

Great, nice new section, I have some projets that will fit on these section like install new electric power steering, 4 link with quick change rear end in my 75 camaro.
