I am new to the site and live in Springfield,IL.
I have a 1980 Z28 Camaro which I take to Gateway and race as of last season. ( Finally got over being scared http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif )
I hope to learn as much as i can about the restoration of my car, god knows i need it. LOL

I live about 175 miles North of Springfield, but travel through that area quite often throughout the Spring & Summer. I have to go to a small town West of Auburn next week. Do you only race your car, or take it to shows also? I would like to hit some shows farther South than I have been so far.

My first (car) was a '80 Z28, midnight metallic blue... mint condition. I sold it cuz it would shake a bit when I got up over 70mph.... I thought it was twisted or something, I was too young to think about balancing the darn tires. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/confused.gif I dont know WHAT I was thinking! LOL

I would LOVE to take my car to shows, but right now she has some body damage as well as interior.
I am slowly working on her though, even though i wish i could do everything right away so she'll be done and look hot.
I am hopping to get the body work done n her next spring, maybe this fall, and then have her painted the stock Brow, only adding a small amount of gold flakes and having gold ghost flames done up the front.

Sounds cool.
