View Full Version : 2 and 1/2 Mandrel Bent Daul Exhaust F.S.
Ryan 79 09-18-2005, 11:06:00 AM I have a complete, from the manifolds back, 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent exhaust for a 70 to 81 Camaro. This has never been installed. I opened up the box when I got it to see what was in it, and ever since then I've never used it.
Anyone interested? $80.
Camaroz 09-18-2005, 11:36:00 AM Iam kinda interested, but I need to be clear as to what kind of system. Is it a stock system with mufflers, or a true dual, or...?
Im basically in the market for a system that is just two 2 1/2 pipes from headers and bent up over the axles to exit the back. X pipe would be nice too but that may be after my inheiritance in 15-20 years. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif

camaro_27 09-18-2005, 11:57:00 PM I would like to be added to the list. but have the same questions. needs to exit in the stock location. its it "true dual"
what is it made of "stainless" or "carbon steel (rust)" mufflers? I know Camaroz is first. Im in the military and away from home I will be around the 21st to the 25th I live in arlington

73454 09-19-2005, 01:53:00 AM Ryan what did you end up doing for exhaust on your car? 3" pipes?
Ryan 79 09-19-2005, 04:01:00 PM Dave,
I haven't done anything yet. That's going to be another one of my winter projects.
To answer the question, this is just exhaust only, no mufflers, no x pipe or h pipe. It is supposed to exit in the stock location, and is a true dual system from the manifolds back. It's aluminized steel IIRC. It hasn't rusted in the past five years.
This system was made by JC Whitney years ago, and its probably still in the catalog.
I bought this in 99 when I was in Illinois with my truck and drove it back here. All I've done is open the box to see what is in it, I haven't ever had it on a car, so I'm not completely sure about how it fits. All I can tell you is how it was advertised.
I think 73454 had this same system on one of his cars, he might be able to tell you more.
Ryan 79 09-20-2005, 07:53:00 PM SOLD.
MrDanb got it.
73454 09-21-2005, 11:47:00 PM I had the Flowmaster Force II setup. I sold it to a board member and went to the Heart Throb 3" exhaust.

Thanks Dave, and I love the sound of "my" Flowmaster Force II's.

Great thanks for asking everyone then selling to someone who wasnt even in line
awsome thanks again !
Ryan 79 09-28-2005, 06:33:00 PM He emailed me with his number, told me he was interested, told me to call him, and picked it up about three hours after I inititally called him.
What would you have done?
Cash talks loud with me, whether I am buying or selling. If I'm interested in buying something from a member here, I email them immediately, then come up with cash immediately also. Ask 73454 about how I bought his motor.
If I'm selling something, the first buyer that comes up with the cash and comes and gets what I'm selling wins.
MrDanB won.

WOW! I didn't know being "Johnny on the spot" was taboo these days. It's not like you made an arrangement to go get funds, then couldn't get back in time, then someone else bought it out from under you. He posted his ad, I called about it, I waited hours till I got off work, drove home, went to the bank, then drove over to Ryans to check it out, then bought it. If you were selling something up there in Arlington, and someone bought it the same day from you, and then another guy got upset that the first guy bought it from you, how would you feel about the guy who missed out? If it makes you feel any better...I paid only 20 bucks less than what Ryan paid for it NEW, and it's 5 years old! If I had a dollar for every time I "missed out", I'd be a very rich man...

You showed up with cash in hand for a deposit and a test ride, and paid the rest after I removed and delivered it. Like you said ca$h talk$, hem, hum, and haw walks.
Camaroz 10-01-2005, 11:44:00 AM Yeah, no hard feelings at all here. I did not speak up soon enough. If I was paying attention and on the "spot" then I would have had it, but I snoozed. http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif
When its right, I will get what I need.
thanks
Steve
