I know somebody who has the complete LT1 setup (motor and tranny) complete for $2500
It's in a Police caprice. In fact you can get the whole Caprice for $3000.
I looked at it today and am Soooo tempted to pick it up, he says it's just flat out fast as hell. Still has the police rims on it, disc rear, etc. the car looks really good considering it's a retired patrol car. Only one dent in the upper area above the front tire on the passenger side about the size of your fist.

That is a pretty fun car to drive. Top speed is about 143 without the light bar. The stock exhaust manifolds crack all the time. I had one for 2 years and loved it. They were so popular with Police Agencies that many were sent back to Pennsylvania to be totally restored at 100,000 miles. Cost to do that was 13,000. That was how popular it was. I would say 3k is a pretty fair price for it. What color combo?

All white. I think the interior is grey or maybe a super light blue??? I didn't look very closely.

Well if you buy it, make sure it has the 5.7 motor and not the 5.0. Lots of Police Agencies did not opt for the 5.7. Ive seen some on E-Bay that say they are the 5.7, but they are not. King County had 5.0 cars that were slugs. Ive heard of people buying them thinking that it was the LT1 when it wasnt. Most likely if it was a State or County car it was the LT1. With only 115k I would buy that car. Its a steal.

Watch oregonmotors2000 on ebay and they sell Oregon State stuff and they just sold 2 '98 Camaro's with the police packages on both and they only went for $3500 each. Every once in awhile you will find a good police use Caprice 9C1 with the police package LT1 and suspension. I want a retired black and white one for a daily driver hehehe http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
