Rick,

Try Mr G's down in Fort Worth, TX. I can get a number in a bit unless someone beats me to it. They did mine. Price was I think $30 per vent. And yes I had to take mine apart as well. I think my turn around time was about 10 days.

You my try a search in either this topic area or the VIN area as well. Sometimes stuff ends up in both places. In either case I will find the number around here somewehere. They even have a website. But heck I cannot even find that at the moment.

Mr G's Fasteners #1-817-831-3501, or 1-817-838-3131. These numbers are off of a 94 catalog. Out of Ft Worth Texas.

I'll second Mr. G's. They did mine last April. When you take them apart you'll have to drill out the rivets. I got some very small screws to reassemble them. The screws are commonly used in model railroading so try a hobby shop. I also used door/window weatherstrip for the seal to the duct. I also figured out a pretty good way to fix the little plastic things that keep the vains in position. Several of the plastic things were broken on mine. I used a piece of balsa wood about 1/8" square and filed grooves for each of the vains pins. Then I painted the wood black and assembled the vents. Works great. I also used zip ties to hold the housings together instead of glue, in case I ever have to take them apart again.

Thanks for the info -Just waiting on my pieces to come back from the other place.Next question has anyone had their dash bezel rechromed? One shop said they will rechrome the whole thing than paint it-sounds correct? With having the woodgrain bezel I don't think the whole bezel needs painting.Just the speedo/tach area needs the black and that is flat black area ?Any input Rick

Rick,

Glad to see this is going to save you some money. Mr G's can do your dash bezel as well BUT more than likely he will not do it correctly. I have talked to him several times and he is convinced there were only 1 Type of Bezel for our cars when in fact there were at least 3. (He is a MOPAR guy not a Camaro guy) Mine being the oddball one being Gray like a lot of others.

I did not let him touch my bezel but I did send it to this place to have it done correctly. http://www.allamericanclassics.com

They did an excellent job on it and I think they charged me about $150. To say the least I am very satisfied.

Just a update-I had sent my vents in to be rechromed at American Plastic Chrome in Michigan. They did a excellent job-turnaround was about 4 weeks. The cost was $20.00 each. You do have to disassemble the vents,so now I have to reassemble-I will post pictures after I finish.
