Do the judges deduct points because the windshield has been replaced ? After 30 years, it would seem that every windshield has been cracked and original replacements are not made with correct markings, right ?

Bob R 11-27-2002, 01:00:00 PM Paul, It depends on which show you put it in. Bob R Bob R 11-29-2002, 10:09:00 PM Paul, Maybe these 2 topics might answer any other questions you might have. http://www.camaros.net/forum/Forum3/HTML/003665.html http://www.camaros.net/forum/Forum3/HTML/003501.html I keep getting hammered at the shows for my Original Rear Glass, it has a couple of small scratches in it and they seem to find it everytime. So I guess I need to replace it. The tinted upper portion on reproduction windshields is the same width in the middle as at the edges with a sharp contrast between the tinted area and the clear area. On some windshields the DOT markings will be visible after the trim is installed. The LOF designation on reproductions on the lower passenger side of the windshield may have a very minor difference in its location but shouldn't be noticeable unless the is an original right next to it, but all lettering should be white.
