i have just about got the car back together, and now i need to know what 'decals' need to be under the hood. i have got a new air cleaner decal, an emissions decal, and one for the side of the air cleaner base. what i want to know is, what else do i need to make it correct, and where do they need to go?

Tom,
An excellent place to look for Correct Decal locations is in the Assembly Manual. It will give the part number on the Decal. Make sure that the one that you are going to put on the car has the part number on it that matches the number in the Assembly Manual.
There is a difference in Quality on the Decals depending on makes them. Most of them come from Osborne's which is a vendor to Year One. I have always found those to be great in quality. Always order 2 at a time, you will be glad you did at some point.
Hope this helps,
Bob R

One piece black knob with white shift pattern. This is correct for a console delete car.

Auto Zone sells one made by Hurst. It appears to be very close to original. Make sure you get the right threads. About $30.
