Anyone have photos of second gen cars with this combination?...please post!

I am thinking about changing the look of my car from Pro-touring to street/strip machine.

Also, need some ideas on a wide street tire that will tuck on a 15x10 in the stock wheel wells. I've seen BS range from 5.0-5.5 on these wheels. I would love to fit the Nitto 325/50/15 in the stock wells without a huge gap at the top. What other similar sized tires are out there besides a true drag radial?

Looking at;

-Champion 15x10, five star speed series, black, single bead lock rears
-Weld 17x6 RTS five star, black up front.

I haven't seen anyone running that combo.

IMO, it would look silly as all hell, and probably ride like poo.

putting 17" up front will give you better roll-out into the staging beams , and i like the look !!!:) :)

This too!^

Also, I have a set of C5 calipers and rotors that will go on one day and need the clearance. This is the primary reason newer model car guys use/need the 17" fronts (large brakes).

Newer cars is what I had in mind when I opened this thread. I have an 02 Z28 and have seen a lot of guys with 17s/15s drag racing the 4th gens.

Yep, seen 4rs fed's car here and on norcal 1320. I believe his rear tires are 26" tall if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the post though.

It works IF you have beadlocks on the rears. If not, I think it looks silly.

running 17" up front and 15" on the rear is about the norm nowadays for any drag racer !!!

I have 18s all around, but didnt go huge on my rear disc so I can still fit 15" wheels for drag racing. I'm not a fan of the look if the wheels don't match...but I won't care if it gets me in the 11s! haha

They match. They are the same on the other side.
