I think there might be a better deal going, unless you know him. Thunder Racing, and I think Brandex Performance might have kits. Whatcha looking to get ? EdgarR 10-29-2002, 05:57:00 PM a local racer uses his system and swears by them. My only thing is that I am only looking for at most a 200 shot and their system is pretty pricey ( but it does come with a regulator) and wondering if I am only going to go as high as a 200 shot does it really matter which system? I was also looking at the TNT plate system. PhilM 10-29-2002, 08:13:00 PM The only one to go to. Musi has nothing on Jeff. He is one of the last of the honest, really knows what he is talking about, not try to fill you with bs guy. A little pricy but I will be a return cutomer. BTW. I bought a "Musi" system, then sent it off to Prock, guess what, 2 tenths faster. Maliboost 10-30-2002, 12:09:00 AM I have been thinking about getting a new system for my new car. is there a web site for this guy or how about a Phone number? thanks guys BW AZ_70ss 10-30-2002, 02:19:00 AM Ask and Ye shall receive... http://www.appliednitroustechnology.com/ ------------------ formally known as "old-guy" EdgarR 10-30-2002, 11:00:00 AM After talking more with the local guy here I am going with Prock. Not to mention that his brother is also the crew chief for the Matco Tools funny car so sounds like a talented family. I spoke with him last night and the set up minus bottle and feed line is $1000 Maliboost 10-30-2002, 05:55:00 PM OUCH http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/eek.gif $1K for a plate, two solenoids, & some jets? thats a bit steep isent it? what are we talking about here? Anyone know how much the Wilsons setup is? it comes with burst pannels & has two bars in it. I think that HVH also makes a real nice one. it has bars that come only 1/2 way accross the plenum for better distribution. Talk to Jamie at TNT his shit works right out of the box. NX would be my second choice. I have run there stuff and it's just a tad rich which is perfect for what ya want. here is a pic of my tnt setup on my motor. http://www.billbeau.net/photos/camaro/.thumbnails/sn_oct_28_2002_0003.jpg.html ------------------ Bill 1970 Pro Street Camaro 540 BBC 1400hp W/Nitrous Pc3 10-31-2002, 09:50:00 AM hummm cant quite understand that? lets see 1000. buxs versues 350-400.00 to save 2 tenths on the 1/4 thier is so manny variabales track conditions , climate, shifting OH well I guess to each his own ------------------ POVERTY IS OWNING A RACE CAR ________ Aiesha (http://www.girlcamfriend.com/cam/Aiesha/) PhilM 10-31-2002, 10:51:00 AM Actually, It was almost a full second and 9.25 mph over the NOS box kit. Nos did their best to get it to the best state of tune. 2 tenths and 4 mph was procks system with a lower hp system rating over the musi tune up. Track conditions, etc were near identical. 60' times were exact. If you are a weekend warrior or street car, i would not spend the coin. If you are going heads up racing, the extra investment may net you a win/runner up which could be 3-6K per race. For a street machine, a 10,000 rpm plate system is far better than a NOS big shot. Just a thought... EdgarR 10-31-2002, 11:22:00 AM Prock's system also inclides a modified regulator and all fittings. The system is complete minus the bottle and feed line. Comparing it to TNT, NX or buying a wilson manifold and the rest of the setup it is not all that much more expensive and from everyone that I talk to that runs it the results are well worth it. The car will be raced. rscamaro73 10-31-2002, 01:35:00 PM Originally posted by billbeau: Stay away from NOS systems. There tune out of the box sucks big time. Maybe more money but I believe you get quality from him. That alone may be worth the extra $$$. Will be meeting him for my tunnel ram setup in January. A bunch of nsca guys will be here and I am going to meet up with all of them including Prock. Would like to see the insides of his business and secrets. Good luck Maliboost 10-31-2002, 04:17:00 PM Originally posted by EdgarR: Prock's system also inclides a modified regulator and all fittings. I am prolly only going to go as high as 200 HP, so I am not looking for a KILLER system, just one that works well. thanks for all the input guys. I appreciate talking with guys that race cars not computers http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif BW Maliboost 10-31-2002, 04:22:00 PM Phillip, does 10,000 RPM have a web site to check out thier products? TIA, BW EdgarR 11-01-2002, 11:09:00 AM BW, Yes that is a fuel regulator. You might want to just contact Jeff Prock and talk about the differences with his plates and others. I can say this that the guy i know running his system runs it on a 460 BBC, he runs a 300 shot in a 8.90 Monte Carlo. It makes more than 480 ft lbs. He sprayed it 17 times without NOS pistons in the motor before leaning the sh@t out of it and melting 7 of the 8 pistons. Maliboost 11-01-2002, 01:03:00 PM Cool, will do. BW Rick WI 11-01-2002, 05:00:00 PM I have been working with Jon Phillips at Nitrous Exress on something you might be interested in. Instead of installing a plate above the intake I am having my intake drilled and spray bars installed right in the plenum. They will then flow the bars and adjust for distribution as well as install all the noids and safety swtiches. The complete kit, with labor, 15lb bottle, hoses, vent tubes, purge lines, (all NHRA approved) is about $1000.00. The kit is good for 100-500 HP. ------------------ 70 SS 454 CI 650+HP All Aluminium Fuel Injected Small Block Maliboost 11-01-2002, 06:25:00 PM Oh yea, you were trying to put a NOSzles kit onto your motor & it would not work right. Right? thats cool that they are going to fix it up for you. how are they adjusting cyl variations? BW The Noszles adapters just did not fit my bungs for the injectors so that was that for that kit. NOS said they never heard of that before. Oh well, I think this is going to work out better and at a lower cost. Folks seem to like NX stuff better than NOS and besides NOS never ever answers their friggin phone. They flow the intake and tune the bars somehow. Never have seen it done so don't know how they actually do it. Will see them at the PRI show in Dec. and plan on talking to them about it. Should have the manifold back this coming week. ------------------ 70 SS 454 CI 650+HP All Aluminium Fuel Injected Small Block Darracq 11-02-2002, 02:44:00 PM Go with NX and be done with it. I went ahead and order the system from Prock. When I get it I'll take pictures and post them. Since I'm running a roots blower I would guess that after going thtough the rotors equal distribution is going to be near imposible anyway, right? Boy I'll tell you something building God's fuel system sure is pricey, I've got $3k into it, cell, pump, fittings, carb, NOS etc. By the way is your dyno all set up? Rick WI 11-03-2002, 12:56:00 AM Dyno is up and rippin. Great fun. $3000, ya got by cheap! http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Likewise, I'll also post pics of my completed manifold. ------------------ 70 SS 454 CI 650+HP All Aluminium Fuel Injected Small Block |
