In my best Rock voice.
Finally the beast is back home in Fremont California!!!!!

Finally got the beast back. I've been wrenchin on her everyday. Installed the evac system plumbing and the fuel system on the motor. Before you say anything I just trelized that the fuel regulator needs to be placed furthore away from the firewall so todays job is to mount it in the next mounting hole. heres some pics. I also installed some qwick disconnects for the tranny cooling lines. You can see those in the pics.

What doors are you going to use? How did you attach your aluminum floor panels?

Im going to start with the stock doors. Im way under weight for the class im running; 3300lbs including driver. Right now im around 2300lbs http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif Later i'll go with the fiberglass ones I have but im having problems trying to finger out how to do a roll up drivers window. Thats one of the stupid rules. You must have a roll up drivers window.

The floor pan is steel but much thinner than stock and sits on top of a 2x2 steel frame work it is then welded to the crossmember and the sides. Very strong!!!!

I believe unlimited products makes a fiberglass door that allows you to use your stock brackets and window glass.

I have a set of Unlimited doors and the garbage http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/frown.gif The inside panels are too thin im my opinion. I may have to consult a body shop or find someone that has done these doors and put them on the car. I will say this though. I bought the fenders and nose peices from Unlimited also and the fenders fit fine but the nose peices are way out of wack!!! On the top piece the openings for the headlights dont match the fender and the opening for the grill is too large. The bottom piece the opening for the grill is even larger and wont match the top piece. I dont know where they got there mold from but it aint know way right. I'll clamp them together on the car and take some pics for ya.

Thanks. I was thinking about ordering them but I have talked to a friend of mine that owns a body shop and we are going to try and make our own.

billbeau, I use power windows in my fiberglass doors. Works fine. My doors are handcrafted in Sweden though, maybe they are better than the ones from unlimited products... http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif
