I have a 850AED and with all the problems I've had trying to find my miss I changed jets several times.I bought the carb used so I don't know what it came with and am curious to see where I am from that right now.Does anyone know what these carbs came with?Tks

Tks IXLR8 I thought there would be more of a gap from primary to secondary.I'm 74 pri.and 82 Sec. right now and the plugs still look a little on the lean side.

There is usually a larger gap between primary and secondary sides on the smaller cfm Holley's, but 850's and larger were about the same on both sides when they left the factory.

All you need is WD-40 and duct tape. If it should move but doesn't, use the WD-40. If it does move but should not, use the duct tape.

Tks again,I think I'll keep going up on the primary side for now and see what that does.

Well the progress has been terible until last night,I've been having trouble finding a miss similar to Marv's,first I played with the fuel system and it seemed to change things so I messed with it for quite awhile until I finally gave up and moved to the ign. system again I would play with things and it seemed to change but wouldn't go away.So I finally elimated the complete Mallory system along with new plugs and wires as well as my old HEI dist. Now it's gone.
I'm still not sure if it's the box,the coil or the MSD dist or even the new Mallory wires I had on.
I did find a suspicious plug as well as something strange on the dist.I don't know how to it explain it but if I understand it right on the dist. the trigger for the same plug that looked bad was a yellowish color where the other 7 were not.Any ideas?I'm going to post this again under a different heading to see what everyone thinks.
