Looking for some original 1974 z28 trim ring pictures. Both sides if possible. I just need to confirm mine are original and correct on my car before restoring them. I also have to replace a few damaged rings so i can find replacements and restore them. Thanks Ron.

No pic's, but the clips on the back should be blue-ish.

I have the same dark blue clips on my original trim rings. My car was built 12/73. Mine are kind of beat up with some dings and minor road rash, so I replaced them with some high quality reproductions. I assumed all of the clips were the lighter blue, so that's how I painted mine. I thought my originals were black or just bare corroded metal, but I never looked at them in the sun light, just the dingy basement, and sure enough, they are dark blue. Looks like I'll be repainting my repros properly. I'm willing to sell the orginals if anyone wants them. They'll need to be un-dented and polished up, but they are in reasonable shape. I don't want to go through the trouble of trying to find someone to restore them. Send me a PM if interested. I can send photos, too.

Thanks jonesy for the pictures. I do have to ask 1 question, Are the valve stem extentions original on your car? I am interested in some information on them if they are. I may start a new topic thread on the valve stem extentions if never talked about before.

Pulled a trim ring off, they are dark blue and definately the original rings that came on the car. My valve stem caps are also original.
