Hey guys,
Red bulb rally would be a better name for me. I was running sportsman class/ footbrake.
The ole' girl ran her best 60 foot ever, 1.535 on the new Hoosier quick time pro's.
She went on to a 10.95 @ 123.18 (quickest run ever is a 10.79 @125.XX)
I was happy to run a 10 on the "street" tires.
Top speed was down a bit, maybe my November tune up is less than optimum in the warmer temps.
.424 red bulb sent us home in the first round at 11:00 pm, they called the race(curfew rule) one round later so I lucked out and am only 10 points behind the leader.
There seemed to be 8 to 10 second gen. Camaro's there, it was cool.

Utt Ohhh,, the ole red eye jumped up and bit you. Just be carefull, that redlightitus is a nasty affliction. I ended up spending almost a grand and changing classes to cure it (delay box).

Hey,, with the best ever 60' the event wasn't a loss, but the question is,,, was the motor being down a touch on power the improvement in the 60', or was the track just hooking better than usual. Ain't this stuff fun!!!

The RED bulb is evil, let's make no mistake.
My first pass was a .548 -not terrible, but felt late.
Then I lost the mojo with a .235 red bulb in the last practice run -Left on the second to last yellow (hello driver, please wait a bit).
Then, the .424 incident.

The car seemed down on power all day.
The good 60' time was after a massive oil down and they actually sprayed traction compound and preped it pretty good.
She fell off right after that.
I have compared it to similar weather runs last season, and she lost 2 mph.
It has a slight stunble when you nail it in the heat, but when it cooled down to the 70's (11:00 pm first round) she was fine.

I think she is a tad lean from looking at the plugs and just the feel of it.

1000 hp 4150 w/ 92p, 93s jets, 2.5 pv in both ends. Secondary idle adjust from quick fuel technologies to balance throttle blades.

I wanted to compare my old slicks to the new hoosier's I got, so I left everything as it was the last time she was out.
Then the track was there and I was'nt.
Story of my life.
At least we ran a 10, and got a new best 60' and came home still running!

I want to try 38 degrees timing (35/36 now) and 94 squared, and shift it a bit earlier.

I taped one of my runs from inside the car on a Sony hi-8 video. It is my favorite of all the video we got this past weeekend.
Trying to figure out the software Sony gave with the camera, Any idea's or easier ways to transfer video?

We'll be back out there next month one way or another, hopefully with all my mojo http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif
