I have a big block 468 c.i. around 575 h.p. which currently has an old 1150 dominator that is giving me all kinds of problems. I plan on racing this prostreet vehicle on racing gas only with little street driving. The car has been competely tricked out with suspension, tranny, and rear end for drag racing. It has a Isky .688 lift cam that revs to 6500 rpm on a Weiland Team G intake manifold. Does anyone have any good suggestions for what type of carb I should put on this vehicle. I am leaning towards a 850 CFM Race Demon. Any thoughts or comments please.

Jack send that dominator to Patrick James at Prosystems and your carb troubles will be cured. It will be a heck of a lot cheaper than changing intakes from a 4500 to 4150 flange and buying a new carb. I run one of Patricks custom 920 Dominators and couldn't be happier.

I'll second Marv's recommendation of Patrick James. Ive got one of his Dominators on my Camaro, and couldnt be happier.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Yes Dominators can be made streetable. You just have to work on the circuitry and atomization properties a bit, put a good booster in it for good part throttle air to fuel ratios and shear capabilities. After that you just have to be sure its ready to take the fuel when you hit it and that its prepared properly and away you go.
Nice site BTW.

I had Patrick redo my BG dominator and you will not find anybody more helpful than he is.

Hey Patrick, good to see you here.
If you make it to the NSCA races this year, stop over to the Budd camp and say hello.
