OK, I'm gonna pull dual duty with the Camaro this year. Drag race and AutoX (Solo II). I need tires for the street and AutoX. I'd like them to be the same tire http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif. Any suggestions? Looking at Kumho 712's and Sumitomo HRT Z's.
I have 16X8 wheels and plan to use 245/50-16 tires. Any help or opinions will be appreciated.

PS I already have Hoosiers for the drags.

Thanks, Overdrive. I've got a friend getting 712's mounted on his AutoX Celica today. I asked him to do some stupid stuff in a parking lot to test them for me. Going by the reviews on Tirerack the Sumi's seem to be the better tire for dual purpose.

Well I finally decided. Yokohama AVSi! I know it wasn't one of my choices but after EXTENSIVE research and advice from many people I decided to spend the extra $13.00 a tire. These are very sticky and the price is only(!) $103.00 a pop.
Thanks for the response, Ovrsteer.
