I was screwing around on facebook, I'll finish funnin everyone here. I mentioned some stuff here prior to going to the Nationals. Something about looking like a hillbilly... as of yesterday - here's nastyz28.com's "support equipment".

4x8. I lucked out this year because (I was able to) take the rear seat out of the Suburban and get a HUGE PILE of stuff inside the truck, rather than have it strapped down outside on the trailer. Me & Laura typically have "discussions" about how to pack... since I'm older now (and just a tiny bit smarter) - I shut up and let her do what she wants. This generally adds to the complexity of the operation.

... to be continued...

No foolin. This is what we looked like when we couldn't "figure it out" 1 year.

That's Dans Steamer trunk. Lauras suitcase was twice as big (for a 3 day junket).

Oh yeah, we also had 15 chairs, 2 tables, grills, a ton of water & canned goods, 4 tents and rear frame rails for a 1972 Camaro heading north....

alas... we made it. Here's Frank & Jim inspecting my innovative method for getting everything to its destination.

It was time to do something about this....

... so I had enough of this hill-billy low-rent bizness and decided I really needed to get a trailer after this last trip. Something that we can operate out of, you know... plug in coffee pots, cook, etc.... and not get my jazz all rained on.

I got a 5-alarm hardon looking at a nice 26' tag... with lights, awning, fancy cabinets, carpetted sidewalls, A/C, diamond-plate floor.... the works. That was out of the budget but...

...awe man... what a freekin let down.... so much for the 26' race rig, yada-yada (in case you couldn't see the fender, small frame & door in the peek-a-boo picture). and there's more to the joke (funny to me at least) comin....

ah... houston we have a problem.....

http://www.nastyz28.com/camnats-2012/trailer-3.JPG

2 trailers.... 1 rig. Pick 1. and keep in mind the above photo of when I try and take a CAR trailer somewhere.....

In other news... Lauras on board with this (i.e. this is her fault). I don't (usually) do stupid stuff anymore like bring home expensive stuff unannounced. So the joke ISN'T that she's going to hand me my ass when she gets home from work. She went shopping for it and she seen it show up.

I think the theory here is... the coffee wagon is small enough to be towed by lauras not yet obtained new fancy cream-puff (not a dually). And my suburban (not a dually) can haul my open car hauler.

(oh yeah, and now I can haul all my spare car crap to the swapmeet next week to try and pay for all this stuff) Trailer V1 got bus coming back from the last swapmeet and trailer V2 (depicted up top) is falling apart already.

(queue the music from "The Jeffersons"....)

>Mike, that's great!! Does it have a sink??

It will. I envision this unit being a central point for either cooking or camping. i.e. during the show it'll be parked next to our show tent, so we can operate out of it. Then it'll make its way up to the camping area where we can do the same. Operate = have power, cooking/coffee/mircowave, cleaning (water/sink) moving show equipment, stashing club goodies etc...

It's small enough to be towed by other things, leaving the Suburban available to haul other stuff.
