i just replaced my gas tank in my 70 z... i scoured up and down for any numbers, but could not find any... i was really hoping i would find a build sheet, but it was not their... oh well, any input would be greatly appreciated

Not sure about 70s but 69s have a date code on the left front corner. On the flat part that is sometinmes folded up.

their has to be numbers somewhere right ??

I have a '70 and the stamp is right near the corner at the front of the drivers side of the tank. Mine is stamped 11 70. I think thats 11th week 1970. The 7 is bigger than the 1's or 0 is.
