I'm looking for a good reasonable, a/c tech in the houston area. I have a 81z i'm getting going. Its going to be real hot out real soon. This is one area I have no clue about. So I will leave it to the expert....Just for the hell of it I stopped by a local shop. They quoted me just over a grand...Yeah right. ouch...

if you convert it to 134a you can charge it yourself. what all is wrong with it? changing a compressor, evaporator, lines, etc is easy.
