Also has an internal HD as well as three sets of preouts. direct Ipod control. I like it a lot. Have it in three different vehicles. All three different years but pretty much the same. Michael bryan324 02-23-2012, 04:09:56 PM dont know if you have made your purchase yet but i just got one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006B1C88Y/ref=oh_o05_s00_i00_details it doesnt have a cd player in it, but personally i havent used a cd in years. so far i really like this radio and the handsfree makes it nice driving a manual EricsZ28 02-23-2012, 04:19:49 PM I have an in-dash DVD player (older JVC in my daily driver) with Auxiliary inputs on the back. NOT the headphone jacks - but rather the red/white/yellow inputs RCA inputs. I bought the genuine Apple composite audio/video cable to use with my iPhone. When connected, my head unit can: Play (and display ;)) Movies Stream Pandora (via the cable) or play any of my music Play my audible turn-by-turn GPS AP over the headunit (the free MapQuest ap will mute Pandora for the directions - very cool) If your phone is jailbroken, I'm told you can mirror your phone's display on the DVD player's screen (otherwise, your standard iPhone will only display movies, slideshows, and a few apps in "TV" mode) - but I have not jailbroken my phone (yet). I also have an iPod input with all the fancy on-screen stuff and integrated steering wheel controls - but I don't use it because it is still faster and easier to navigate the phone. 77nomad 02-25-2012, 12:06:22 AM I like the alpine sets you can plug it in and toss it in the console and control everything from the deck will even charge your phone I have two of these Alpines. they are way cheap for the options they have. Sub control, they recognize Ipod and you can shuffle using the deck not the Ipod. They are Pandora ready and have adapters for steering wheel controls. |
