Anyone install remote start on a second gen? If so what brand did you use? I want it so I can hear my car as I walk up to it

Is yor 2nd gen fuel injected? From what I can recall remote starts dont work or dont work properly on non EFI cars.

However I generally stick with stuff by Directed.

i used a 16 channel remote system on my Z, for shaved doors, and added just about everything else to it, including ability to remote start.(and horn, and power windows up and down, trunk popper, neons, and everything I could think of) It really freaks people out at car shows, and parking lots, nobody expects a 671 blown camaro to start by remote, especially with no fuel injection... I made a channel that powers the ignition system, and 1 that cranks the starter... It works fine unless its a really cold morning, in which case not likely to be driving it anyway...

ANY name brand will do.
DEI stuff
MICRO Alarms stuff
Bulldog stuff
etc.

All have been around for decades.
BUY price and Function.

i had a viper on mine. you can remote start a carbed setup just fine, you can even set it up to rev the engine through the remote
