Well my new 70 Z has a Delco AM/tape stereo and I want to move my XM dock and antenna adapter over to it. Problem is it does not have FM and the antenna adapter is made to play through the antenna on FM. Is there any way to use the stereo tape side of the radio or should I just find someone who has an AM/FM stereo and swap it out. I'm not cutting the dash or going aftermarket especially since it has upgraded speakers being driven from a high level input amp. 8 Tracks are OK but I need my XM tunes. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks

The still have tape adapters with the headphone plug on it. I know I have seen them at Oreillys this past week. Just pop the adapter in the tape deck and plug the other end into the XM dock. It will sound way better than a modulator.

Oh I just saw that it is an 8 track. You will need an 8 track adapter to cassette and then put the cassette adapter into the 8 track adapter. They should still have those online somewhere, ebay will be your friend on this one.

Somebody told me I maybe able to find one of the FM adapters that plugged into an 8 track. Then it would work because it would use the stereo amps and the modulator through the antenna jack. I did think of the 8 track cassette adapter idea but I'm starting to lean towards just installing an AUX jack to the unit and jacking it to the phono input jack on the XM dock. I can do that for less then 10 bucks in parts.
