found this add on craigslist, :rolleyes: only in Maine

1979 camaro black ex. tan in. came with a v6 swapped for a 454 crate motor. edelbrock kit including carb. and heads, k+n oversized radiator, automatic drag shift kit. good project car..needs some love. would also make a good parts car. will need to be towed from location.. beensitting for about a year. paid 6,000, worth well over 30,000 restored. moving out of state soon, cant take project with us. asking 4,000 or best offer. please no trades and also only contact if serious make an offer. 207-710-6029

I drove all the way up past Belfast (4 hrs) for a '70 parts car with "most of the interior" (the interior was what I wanted) only to find a '71 with a switched trim tag. I did get lots of interior pieces...but not '70 (1-year only) pieces!!! :mad:

My bad for not requesting pics 1st!

You just can't trust those Mainiacs! ;)

Too bad he didn't leave the factory V6 in that 79.
It could be worth $30K restored because it would be the only known factory V6 79 Camaro in existence!!!!! :confused:

many of these youngens have trouble wrapping there head around the fact that 6 cylinders came in a line back in the day . probably ran the vin and saw "D" and said to himself , "hmmm , a V6 " . they hear 6 cylinder motor , and all they think it's V . the straight 8 would blow their minds !
