There are a lot of those low mile late 2nd gens on ebay right now with astronomical numbers on them. Thing is those cars were starting to come up right before the country tanked. It will take a while but right now I could'nt see spending more than 10 grand on it.

if it is truly a 39,000 original miles car, if he markets it right it is easily a $10k+ car. that fact it is on Craigslist sure puts all that in question though.

If that thing was in PRISTINE condition I could see it maybe getting 15k. I saw an 81 Z on Barret Jackson go for that much but it only had 15000 miles on it and was mint condition.

Around here that car would go for 5500-7000

If that thing was in PRISTINE condition I could see it maybe getting 15k. I saw an 81 Z on Barret Jackson go for that much but it only had 15000 miles on it and was mint condition.

yeah ,but you cant use barret as abarometer for that, those cars on there are pushed to those prices by the atmosphere and the thrill. its mint 30k miles help it being a higher price , but not 18k, we have to think real world pricing not t.v. auctions.Too many ppl now think all there old cars are the next retirment plan lol

I completely agree. Ive seen a few very clean stock late second gens go for between 10-20k though on ebay and on craigslist.

But yes I completely agree about Barret-Jackson.

He's been feeling out the market with this car on and off over the last 52 weeks...and hasn't budged one iota on his asking price. I would definitely call that out of touch with the market. ;)

I'll give him credit for this much though, he's sure persistent in his pursuit of that 18K!

Maybe the seller should look at these to see how far off he is on his price. Both seem a little bit high to me, but I don't feel that they are far off if the mileage is original. Two very nice Z28's! I especially like the dark red one.

I'm kinda curious what you mean by saying this guy is way off on his price and then you show two cars that are more???? The orange one is a repaint too. They say it has 23,217 miles, and they couldn't even paint the grille the correct body color. Oh yea it's $19,900. Then you show the maroon one and it was bid up to $18,500. That too is more than he's asking. I love these late second gen Z28's, that's why I have one. I just don't get why so many people have to be so negative about everyone elses cars.
